| I specialize in black and white photography. It is my passion and I love the classic and timeless beauty these images portray, while I do show images in color, most of the time I show both, but the majority of the images I show on my site are black and white as it is my preference. I am a location photographer, I will bring my studio set up to your home or we can meet at a location of your choice. I will bring the backdrops and lights, don't worry I come prepared! It is so much easier to photograph kids and families in their own environment. It is my hope that during our session we can not only capture a wonderful image but hopefully a little piece of personality as well. I don’t want to just take a photograph, I want to save a part of your child and family forever. My passion is taking memorable photographs that will hopefully bring you many fond memories and bring back emotions from the time at which they were taken. I really like to photograph newborns within their few days here with us. They are only that smooshie… for such a short time. Some positions are only possible in the first few days. If you are interested in a newborn session please call me before you are due so I can make myself available. I find the best time to take maternity portraits is at about 30-32 weeks. This makes sure that your belly is looking beautiful and full of the life within. As a mother of three myself I am aware that you may feel more comfortable having your session a little earlier on, I do understand and will respect your wishes, I just want to ensure you come away with images that reflect the beauty of your pregnancy. I supply the wraps for the maternity sessions, if you have something special you would like to use please have it out during your session, we will use it! When taking family portraits please be aware that stripes and prints on fabric can be very distracting. Please keep this in mind while dressing for your photographs. Plain and simple takes great photographs. Sometimes the littlest babies get lost in all the fancy clothes let’s concentrate on the baby and keep things simple. Sometimes less is more and for the tiny tots clothing is optional. |
